A Message from our CEO :
As the CEO I am here in the office every day during this state mandated lockdown. I am in constant communication with my staff and customers with emergency needs. My employees are not here physically, and they will not be here physically, until our governor and health experts lift the shelter in place order. The purpose of the order is to stop the spread of the virus, to give hospitals a chance to receive necessary protective equipment, and to not unnecessarily expose employees to this dreadful virus.
Beginning Monday, for customers in emergency situations requiring product, Myself along with a few family members will package and ship your emergency product needs. Please email your dedicated account rep for any emergency needs. I also anticipate full “remote” employee IP-phone based operations Monday. I intend on shipping 2-3 times a week for our wonderful customer base during this emergency.
I have already heard from many customers that our competition has made no changes, requiring employees to come to work, business as usual. It is EXACTLY that recklessness, insensitivity to employee safety and health that allowed this virus to practically shut down our economy, to overwhelm our hospitals, and indeed to cause unnecessary death to so many. Everyone has their own definition of “essential” that gives some an excuse to stay open and continue “business as usual”. My HEART goes out to those employees that work for a company unnecessarily exposing them and their loved ones to this virus as money is clearly more important to them than their health.
I have been in business for 20 years, we’ve always been a family owned business and our family EXTENDS to my employees as well. Some employees have been with me, with you, for 20 years as well. I cannot justify revenue at the risk of their health and their family’s health. I will also add that I cannot morally contribute to the overwhelming crisis that hospitals face hourly dealing with this Pandemic by forcing my employees to be here physically.
For our competition seizing opportunity, taking market share, ignoring common sense, ignoring or “gaming” the definition of essential, you cannot put on a display of LESS patriotism or show more selfishness than you are by your actions. Medical professionals, including doctors, are DYING as they unselfishly, heroically, treat CV19 infected patients. MANY of those critically ill patients were exposed at their workplace. If you are an employee forced to physically work at these types of places, and question your employer’s definition of essential, I STRONGLY encourage you to contact an attorney, and hold a reckless employer financially, if not criminally, accountable for risking YOUR LIFE unnecessarily. YOU DESERVE a safe work environment.
Strong words- I know. We have ONLY two options. Shut down the economy for a month, beat this silent killer. This option saves lives and allows our hospitals to catch up, to protect themselves, and we win.
Or option 2- GAME the system, ignore this silent killer, and this virus will be here for God knows how long, killing medical staff, my loved ones, your loved ones, for a year or maybe even more.
For all installers. The World Health Organization (WHO) studied the infection on cruise ships. On certain metals, the virus survived 17 days. For most other surfaces, including cardboard, the average was 1-5 days. If servicing a metal camera, NVR/DVR, protect yourself appropriately.
A local cornhole maker is still open, right here in my city. Lumber is listed as a potential “essential” business by our government as wood can be critical for certain emergencies, and paper, especially toilet tissue. This is a PRIME EXAMPLE of a business owner perverting the intent of the shelter in place order. Their product is made of wood, they refuse to shelter in place. They’re making money.

When this is all over with, and it will end, how many people contract CV19 because Amazon continued packing, picking, and shipping non-essential items? Amazon couldn’t reduce their staff considerably by ending sales of toys, gadgets, etc… and ONLY allowed picking, packing, delivery of essential items like sanitizer, baby products, food, etc...?
I could cite a thousand more examples of why so many are going to unnecessarily contract CV19.
Potentially die, or indirectly be responsible for infecting a loved one, BECAUSE your employer manipulated the word “essential”? If you are NOT truly providing an essential product or service, please, to save those hospital staff members, and all the rest of the truly essential Americans working to keep us going until this passes, SEND YOUR EMPLOYEES HOME!
