Warranty and Terms
GenIV Technology provides
a 1-year warranty period (unless otherwise noted), from date of purchase, to
the original buyer on all products to be free of defects in workmanship and
material. We will repair or replace
items, at our option, providing there is no evidence of customer misuse,
accident, alteration, abuse, power failure, lightning strikes, or faulty
installation. Should we be unable to repair or replace the exact product
model within a reasonable amount of time, an upgrade to a model of equal or
greater value may be provided at our discretion. If a suitable replacement cannot be
provided within a reasonable timeframe, an account credit may be issued. This warranty is valid only for the
original buyer and is not transferrable.
Policy: GenIV Technology will authorize
a return for credit within 30 days of purchase provided that items purchased
are in brand-new, uninstalled condition with all original accessories and
packaging. Returned items are subject
to a restocking fee of up to 25% based upon their condition. Items may be refused for return if they do
not include all accessories, have been altered in any way or do not include
all original packaging in acceptable condition or are deemed to no longer be
sellable. Items returned in proper
condition may have a reduced restocking fee applied. Credits for items returned under the 30-day
return policy will be in the form of account credit for dealers and
Policy: Non-working products shall only
be returned to GenIV Technology for warranty repair once an RMA (Return
Merchandise Authorization) has been issued via e-mail by a member of the
Technical Support staff. Items
returned without prior authorization will be refused and returned and are
subject to handling fees. Appropriate
efforts will be taken to provide troubleshooting assistance in order to avoid
the inconvenience of having to return items for service.
This warranty shall be
deemed void and shall not apply to defects or damage resulting from the
installation, inadequate maintenance or neglect by customer
modification or misuse of products
outside of the environmental specifications for the products
of vandalism or accidental damage of items
strikes or power related events such as surges or failures
Once an RMA has been issued, the item should be appropriately packaged
to avoid any damage in shipping and the RMA form should be affixed to the
outside of the packaging. Items
that are returned using insufficient packaging may be refused and returned
and the warranty deemed void. RMAs are
valid for 10 days from the date of issue.

Buyer is responsible
for all shipping and insurance charges on returns to GenIV Technology using
UPS or FedEx ONLY. All RMAs shipped via USPS will be returned to sender. For items being repaired or replaced, GenIV
Technology will assume costs for return shipping using UPS ground only. Expedited return shipping may be requested
at the expense of the buyer. If items
should be returned to an alternate address from that listed on the RMA form,
this should be appropriately noted on the RMA form in the space provided.
If an item returned for warranty service is found to be
non-defective, it will be returned at the buyer’s expense.
Policy: If a product is found to be
defective within 30 days of the original purchase date GenIV Technology will,
upon request, provide an advanced replacement and a pre-paid shipping label
for the return of the original equipment.
Advanced replacements will be shipped using the same method as the
original purchase. Items for which
advanced replacements are issued must be returned within 14 days of the RMA
being issued or the buyer will be charged for the cost of the advanced
Customers should not
purchase replacement items with the expectation of receiving reimbursement
upon return of original equipment.
If a UPS shipment is
returned to GenIV Technology for refusal to accept, failure to pick-up or
insufficient funds on COD orders, the original shipping charge, fees for return
shipping as charged by UPS, any associated COD fees, and a processing fee of
up to 25% may be applied.
OF WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND
INCIDENTAL AND CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES:
WARRANTIES NOT EXPRESSLY PROVIDED FOR HEREIN, OF ANY KIND WHATSOEVER,
EXPRESS, IMPLIED AND STATUTORY, ARE HEREBY DISCLAIMED. ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES
OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE HEREBY
DISCLAIMED. IN NO EVENT SHALL GEN IV TECHNOLOGY, INCLUDING ITS OFFICERS,
AGENTS, EMPLOYEES, REPRESENTATIVES, ATTORNEYS, AND AFFILIATED COMPANIES BE
LIABLE FOR DAMAGES OF ANY NATURE, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION SPECIAL,
DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, WHETHER OR NOT
RELATING TO OR IN ANY MANNER RESULTING FROM OR ARISING OUT OF ANY
NON-CONFORMITY OF THE PRODUCT TO THE WARRANTY HEREIN, ANY DEFECT IN MATERIAL
AND WORKMANSHIP, ANY PERFORMANCE OR NON-PERFORMANCE BY SELLER OF ANY OF THE
OBLIGATIONS OR DELAY OF DELIVERY OR FAILURE TO DELIVER FOR WHATEVER CAUSE.
Note: All Store
Credits expire within 90 days of issue.
Legal Status of
Products: It is the responsibility of the buyer to
ascertain and comply with all applicable local, state and federal laws in
regard to the profession and use of any items purchased. Consult an attorney
regarding such laws before placing an order. Check your local state law for
audio recording. By placing an order, the buyer represents that he or she is
of legal age and agrees to use the product only in a lawful manner. We assume
no liability associated with product usage.
